Macros and Links Macro

Each canvas requires fast access to a different set of parameters. To make this happen, you can bind most parameters anywhere in the menus to one of the slots under the Macros and Links Macro menu. When you then navigate there, all the parameters will be laid out for convenience during a performance.

The first four menu pages have assignable slots for parameter Links, while the last page offers Macro control over multiple Links at a time.

Links

For example, you might want to have these parameters handy: Filter cutoff, a Modulator speed, an Emitter grain length and a different Emitter grain density.

To assign the Filter cutoff to a link slot:

  1. Find the Filter cutoff on the first page of Effects Effects.

  2. Hold the Macros and Links Macro button until encoders start flashing.

  3. Turn the Filter cutoff knob a little bit.

  4. Release the Macros and Links Macro button.

  5. Select which page and slot to place at and commit with Here.

Link assignments are saved along with the canvas. A single parameter can be placed to multiple link slots at a time.

Macros

The last page of Macros and Links Macro enables macro control over parameters, with each screen representing a full page of links.

Turning a macro knob changes the values of up to four parameters at once. You can then strategically group related parameters together on a link page and control them with a single encoder.

Each macro group has Recall and Store buttons to revert to a previous state easily.

Tips

  • Change pages either using the Up and Down arrow buttons or by pressing Macros and Links Macro repeatedly.

  • Holding Store inverts the logic and swaps buttons positions for momentary parameter changes.

This is so you can press and hold Store, do a maneuver with the macro knob, and then release the button to Recall to the previous state. While holding, you can keep pressing Store with another finger to overwrite a previously stored state.

  • Recall only works in the context of the macro screen, if you change a parameter outside of the Macro page the stored state might not be valid anymore.
